abstract | The following general formula 1 [Chemical 1] (Wherein n represents an integer of 7 to 13), in particular, n = 8 11-methyl-13-tridecanolide, n = 9 12-methyl-14-tetradecanolide, and n = 10. 13-methyl-15-pentadecanolide is a novel compound that has not been reported in the prior art, and as a result of evaluation of aroma characteristics, these compounds not only have a strong and long-lasting musk aroma. It is a macrocyclic lactone musk with nitromusk-like aroma characteristics. Moreover, in this invention, the fragrance | flavor composition and fragrance | flavor which have a characteristic odor characteristic are obtained by including at least 1 sort (s) in these novel compounds. The present invention also provides a novel process for producing the compound represented by the above general formula 1. |
