When the capacity (A) of the battery voltage range 0.3 to 1.0 V is 50 mAh / g or more, the ratio of the capacity (A) to the capacity (B) of the battery voltage range 0 to 1.0 V ((A) / ( B)) is a negative electrode material for a large current input / output nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, characterized by being 0.3 or more. The negative electrode material is non-graphitizable and has characteristics suitable as a negative electrode material for high current input / output non-aqueous electrolyte secondary batteries for HEV applications and the like. |
