abstract | The present invention relates to a nicotine-reducing agent and a nicotine-reducing smoking device that are used to reduce the amount of nicotine contained in the mainstream smoke of tobacco. Moreover, this invention relates to the method of reducing the amount of nicotine from the mainstream smoke of tobacco by using the said nicotine reducing agent or the smoking implement for nicotine reduction. The nicotine reducing agent is at least one selected from the group consisting of tamarind seed gum, locust bean gum, xanthan gum, tara gum, guar gum, pectin, pullulan, psyllium seed gum, methylcellulose, carboxymethylcellulose, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, and carrageenan. It can be comprised from the aqueous liquid composition containing a polysaccharide and a viscosity of 500-3000 mPa * s. |
