An interference double-stranded RNA comprising an antisense RNA complementary to any region in the mRNA of the target gene and a sense RNA homologous to the region in the mRNA of the target gene, wherein the antisense RNA and the A double-stranded RNA for interference, which is characterized in that a double-stranded RNA is formed over 25, 26, 27, or 28 or more bases continuous with sense RNA, is used for RNAi. Double-stranded RNA containing base substitution and base insertion can also be used. The interference double-stranded RNA of the present invention can induce RNAi with reduced cytotoxicity with high efficiency. |
