abstract |
The present invention relates to provision of a novel stroke recurrence inhibitor and a simple method for evaluating a stroke recurrence inhibitor. According to a simple evaluation method using stroke-prone spontaneous hypertension (SHR-SP) rats established by the present inventors, atorvastatin is effective in suppressing the recurrence of stroke, the effect of reducing neurological symptoms due to recurrent stroke, and the onset of stroke It was confirmed to have an effect of improving the survival rate later. Therefore, atorvastatin is useful as a stroke recurrence inhibitor. |
