According to the present invention, a stem cell differentiation inhibitor comprising a low-molecular compound, particularly a tetrahydroisoquinoline derivative, and a stem cell using a tetrahydroisoquinoline derivative can be used in a large amount, safely and undifferentiated in the absence of feeder cells. Provided are a method for culturing a stem cell, a culture solution for a stem cell containing a tetrahydroisoquinoline derivative, and a cell cultured and produced using the tetrahydroisoquinoline derivative as a differentiation inhibitor.
