titleOfInvention Optically active halohydrin derivative and method for producing optically active epoxy alcohol derivative using the same
abstract An optically active epoxy alcohol derivative useful as a pharmaceutical intermediate is provided by a method that can be carried out simply and industrially safely from inexpensively available raw materials, as well as an important novel intermediate compound halohydrin derivative. Also provided is a process for producing a triazole antifungal intermediate in a short step by reacting a halohydrin with a sulfonamide of triazole. An optically active substituted propionic acid ester derivative is reacted with a haloacetic acid derivative in the presence of a base to form an optically active haloketone derivative, which is then reacted with an aryl metal compound to remove a halohydrin derivative stereoselectively from the substituent on the hydroxyl group. An optically active epoxy alcohol derivative is produced by epoxidation with a base. In addition, a triazole antifungal intermediate is produced in a short process by reacting a halohydrin derivative with a sulfonamide of triazole.
