titleOfInvention | Method for producing 2-deoxyaldoses |
abstract | It is an object of the present invention to provide an industrial process for producing 2-deoxyaldoses that is superior in yield and volumetric efficiency to conventional processes and is easy to operate. A compound such as 2-keto-3-deoxygluconic acid represented by the general formula (1) is reduced by catalytic hydrogenation using a metal such as palladium or represented by the general formula (1). 2-keto-3-deoxyaldonic acid is synthesized by reduction using a hydride reducing agent in a solvent of 30 weight times or less with respect to a compound such as 2-keto-3-deoxygluconic acid. -3-Deoxyaldonic acid is decarboxylated to obtain 2-deoxyaldoses. The method of the present invention is an economical and efficient method. |
