titleOfInvention LATEX POLYMER PARTICLES CONTAINING FLUORESCENT OR CONTRAST AGENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THEM
abstract An effective method of incorporating an inorganic phosphor or an inorganic contrast agent into latex polymer particles used in diagnostic tests and the like, and provision of phosphor-containing latex polymer particles with reduced nonspecific adsorption of proteins and the like thus produced. Latex-forming particles are produced by carrying out a polymerization reaction in the presence of a latex-forming monomer, a macromer containing at least a hydrophilic polymer segment, and a phosphor or an inorganic contrast agent simultaneously in an aqueous medium.
