Provided is an optimum method for using a desulfurizing agent for liquid hydrocarbons that can efficiently remove sulfur in kerosene to a low concentration without adding hydrogen, and has a long life. A desulfurization method using a metal-based desulfurization agent and removing sulfur in kerosene without adding hydrogen, wherein the desulfurization conditions satisfy the following formula (1): 1.06 × P ope 0.44 <T ope / T 50 <1.78 × P ope 0.22 ...
