abstract The present invention relates to a technique for constructing a reaction system containing an object to be measured, an oxidoreductase, and an electron mediator, and measuring the concentration of the object to be measured using an electrochemical method. Ru compounds are used as electron mediators. According to the present invention, there is provided a concentration measuring tool including a substrate, at least a first electrode and a second electrode formed on the substrate, and a reagent layer formed in a solid state. The reagent layer contains an oxidoreductase and a Ru compound, and is configured to dissolve when a sample solution is supplied to form a liquid phase reaction system.
