abstract | Provided is a method for imparting resistance to a plant virus to a plant. The method includes the step of introducing a polynucleotide encoding a protein that binds to a plant virus translocation protein into plant cells. In one embodiment, the protein encoded by the polynucleotide comprises the sequence shown at positions 1 to 86 of SEQ ID NO: 2, or in which one or several amino acids are substituted, deleted or added. And binds to the plant virus translocation protein. In one embodiment, the polynucleotide comprises a nucleotide sequence set forth in positions 14-271 of SEQ ID NO: 1 or a nucleotide sequence that hybridizes to the nucleotide sequence under stringent conditions. |
