abstract | The present invention provides a novel method for culturing mesenchymal stem cells, which can obtain significantly more mesenchymal stem cells than conventional culturing methods. The culture method is characterized in that fibroblast growth factor (FGF) is added to a medium as a substance that stimulates the proliferation ability of mesenchymal stem cells while maintaining pluripotency and further extends the life span, not only can cultured mesenchymal stem cells 30 or more generations may be obtained prior to about 105 to 106 times the number of cells in the cell number as compared to the culture method. |
