titleOfInvention Sheet-like detecting material for inspecting leakage
abstract PURPOSE:To enhance tackiness and to improve the accuracy of detection by using an addition product formed by bringing gelatin and N-hydroxyimide ester compd. into reaction as a base material, then by compounding said material with a color forming agent to form a self-adhesive color forming layer. CONSTITUTION:The addition product obtd. by bringing the gelatin and the compd. expressed by formula I [where A denotes 1-3 kinds of groups selected from an oxyethylene group, oexypropylene group and oxybutyrene group, Z denotes the group selected from formula II, formula III, formula IV, formula V, formula VI, formula VII, formula VIII, and the partial substitution products thereof; (m) denotes 1-300] into reaction is used as the base material. The color forming reagent is compounded with this material to form the self-adhesive color forming layer. The title detecting material is formed of such color forming layer and a sheet-like base. The self-adhesive color forming layer which is thick and has resilience and high tackiness as well as high hydrophilicity is thereby obtd. A gushing water soluble gas or liquid is absorbed and diffused by this layer without suppressing the gushing thereof. The accuracy of the detection is thus improved.
