abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain the title additive which forms a network structure between coal particles and maintains low viscosity and self-flowability of the slurry, by using a partially sulfonated PS or its salt, and (meth)acrylic acid (co)polymer or its salt, as essential components. CONSTITUTION:The subject additive contains, as essential components (A) (i) a partially sulfonated PS of 2,000-500,000, preferably 4,000-100,000 weight- average mol.wt. or (ii) a partially sulfonated PS mixture of a PS of 400-10,000 weight-average mol.wt. with another PS of 40,000-500,000, preferably 50,000-150,000 weight-average mol.wt., and (B) (i) (meth)acrylic acid homopolymer or its salt or (ii) acrylic acid copolymer with at least one selected from fumaric, maleic, itaconic acid crotonic acids or its salt. |
