titleOfInvention Water-soluble metal working oil
abstract PURPOSE:To prepare the title working oil which is excellent in lubricity, emulsification stability, and rust-preventive and degreasing properties, by mixing a alkali metal salt or amine salt of a particular polymerized oil with a mineral oil and a surfactant. CONSTITUTION:30-85wt.% (hereinafter merely '%') animal or vegetable fat or oil having an iodine value of 60 or more (e.g., hydrogeneated fish oil) is polymerized with 15-70% fatty acid having an iodine value of 60 or more (e.g., hydrogenated fish oil fatty acid) by heat or oxidation to prepare a polymer ized oil having a viscosity of 80-3,000cSt (40 deg.C) and an acid value of 20-110. The polymerized oil is neutralized with a hydroxide of an alkali metal to prepare an alkali metal salt or amine salt (A) of the polymerized oil. 5-60% component A is mixed with 20-80% mineral oil (B) such as machine oil, turbine oil, kerosene, and gas oil, and 8-40% anionic or nonionic surfactant.
