abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition which can give a container which can be sterilized by heating with high-temperature steam and has a high gas barrier property, by mixing a specified ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer saponificate with a heat-resistant thermoplastic polyester containing a nucleator. CONSTITUTION:5-95wt.% ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer saponificate (A) of an ethylene content of 20-60mol.%, a degree of saponification of the vinyl acetate portion of >=90mol.% and a silicon content of 0.0005-0.2mol.% is mixed with 95-5wt.% heat-resistant thermoplastic polyester (B) of an inherent viscosity >=0.60dl/g as measured in a phenol/tetrachloroethane (1:1 weight ratio) mixed solvent at 30 deg.C, containing a nucleator such as 0.01-5wt.% small inorganic compound of a particle diameter of 2-3mu or less, such as talc or silica or 1-15wt.% polyolefin (e.g., a polyethylene terephthalate containing at least 80mol.% ethylene terephthalate units). |
