titleOfInvention Manufacture of foamed mold provided with surface fastener
abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the engaging function of a surface fastener from being spoiled, by a method wherein the surface fastener is fixed to the surface of a mold by engagement between a positioning pin, provided at a surface fastener fixing part on the mold, and a small hole, formed on the surface fastener, then, expandable material is expanded in the mold. CONSTITUTION:A surface fastener 28 is mounted on the upper part of a core 48 on a mold surface so that small holes 38 at both ends of the fastener 28 are engaged with the positioning pins 54 of the core 48. The surface fastener 28 is attracted to the core 48 by a magnetic force operating between the magnetic body 34 of the surface fastener and a magnet 56 of the core whereby the peripheral rims of a recess 50 for receiving engaging part is sealed. Subsequently, expandable material 26, such as soft urethane foam material or the like, is poured into a mold cavity 44, then, molds 30 are closed. An expanding pressure due to the expansion of the expandable material and a material pouring pressure are applied on the surface fastener 28, however, the position of the fastener 25 will never be deviated and a gap will never be produced between the surface fastener 28 and the core 48 while the expandable molded form is bonded to the rear surface of the surface fastener 28 whereby the expanded body molded form, having the surface fastener 28 integrally, may be obtained.
