titleOfInvention Bead cord for tire
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a bead cord for tire, composed of a sheath and core type double layered structural yarn obtained by using a fiber bundle having a specific yarn strength as a core, and covering the core with fibers braided around the core, having a proper stiffness, excellent in shape-keeping properties, and especially suitable for a tire for bicycle. CONSTITUTION: This bead cord for tire comprises a core-sheath double layered structural yarn obtained by using a fiber bundle (preferably having 4,500-7,500 de size) comprising fibers (preferably the whole aromatic polyester composed of p-hydroxybenzoic acid, and 6-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid) having >=18 g/de yarn strength and preferably having 1-5 de fiber size as a core, and covering the core with fibers (e.g. polyvinyl alcohol fiber, preferably having 100-500 de size) braided around the core.
