titleOfInvention | Device with stoppage function for compensating interference between cross polarizations |
abstract | PURPOSE:To prevent an adverse effect on a main signal due to the fault of an equipment at an interference wave side from being generated, by comparing a pseudo error rate after compensation by an intercross polarization interference compensator with the pseudo error rate before compensation, and stopping the function of the compensator when it is not operated effectively. CONSTITUTION:The main signals I and Q of a perpendicularly polarized wave are supplied to a transversal equalizer 22 after being sampled by a clock signal CLK by a discrimination circuit 21, and the interference signals Ix and Qx of a horizontally polarized wave are supplied to an interference compensator 24 after being sampled by the same signal by a discrimination circuit 23. An error signal is taken out from the output of the equalizer 22, and is inputted to a first pseudo error detection circuit PEM27. The PEM27 outputs the pseudo error rates PEMi and PEMq at each of the signals I and Q. Error signals are taken out from the output of adders 25 and 26, and are inputted to a PEM28, thereby, a PEMix and a PEMqx are obtained, then, they are compared at a comparator 29. When the PEMi and the PEMx are less than the pseudo error rates PEMix and PEMqx after compensation by the interference compensator 24, it is recognized that deterioration is generated in the main signals I and Q by the compensator 24, therefore, the compensator 24 is reset immediately. |
