titleOfInvention Flame-retardant acrylic composite fiber
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the titled fiber, having good feeling, bulkiness, etc., and excellent latent crimpability, by eccentrically joining a component consisting of a flame-retardant acrylic polymer of a specific composition to a component consisting of a specific polymer composition containing the above-mentioned acrylic polymer. CONSTITUTION:The aimed fiber, obtained by using a composition prepared by blending (A) a polymer consisting of >=40wt.% acrylonitrile and 20-60wt.% halogen-containing monomer and sulfonic acid-containing monomer with (B) a polymer of glycidyl methacrylate and/or a copolymer thereof in an amount of 5-40pts.wt. based on 95-60pts.wt. component (A) and having the eccentrically joined components (A) and (B). Furthermore, vinyl chloride, etc., are preferred as the halogen-containing monomer in the component (A). The afore-mentioned fiber is obtained by introducing, e.g. spinning solutions of the respective components (A) and (B) from separate inlets into a side-by-side type conjugate spinneret, and spinning the spinning solutions.
