titleOfInvention Preparation of solid acid catalyst
abstract PURPOSE:To eliminate hard points for dealing with such as handling, waste treatment, corrosion of reaction vessel, etc., by heat treating aluminum oxide at the temperature of 700-1,500 deg.C in chlorine atmosphere are preparing solid acid catalysts. CONSTITUTION:Solid acid catalysts are prepared by heat treating aluminum oxide at the temperature of 700-1,500 deg.C in chlorine atmosphere. Aluminum oxide, as a raw material, with a large surface area of 100m<2>/g or more is suitable, and the same can be prepared by calcining aluminum hydroxide. Solid acid catalysts thus prepared have almost on Brphinsted acid point or basic point, but have a Lewis acid point of good acid strength. Because of said characteristics, said solid acid catalysts are of superior activity and selectivity, and are superior catalysts to react efficiently for skeleton isomerization of paraffin, alkylation of aromatic group or the like.
