abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain the titled container outstanding in formability and impact resistance, giving excellent characteristics by crystallization, suitable for e.g. cooked frozen foods, by incorporating polyethylene terephthalate of specific intrinsic viscosity with specified amount of a thermotropic liquid crystal-featured polymer etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective container can be obtained by incorporating 100pts. wt. of a composition comprising (A) 85-98.95wt.% of polyethylene terephthalate with an intrinsic viscosity of 0.65-1.2 (pref. 0.75-1.1), (B) 0.05-5(pref. 0.1-3)wt.% of a polyester constituted mainly of hydroxybenzoic acid-derived recurring unit, i.e. a polymer giving thermotropic liquid crystal feature and (C) 1-10wt.% of a polymer having recurring unit derived from 2-6C monomer with (D) >=0.05(pref. 0.1-2)pts.wt. of a thermal stabilizer (e.g. butylated hydroxytoluene). |
