titleOfInvention Production of glucose 1-phosphate
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound useful as an antimicrobial agent for medicines, antitumor agent (platinum complex) and remedy for cardiopathy (amine salt) at a low cost, by reacting an alpha-glucan with an orthophosphate using a specific phosphorylase. CONSTITUTION:An alpha-glucan is reacted with an orthophosphate using a phosphorylase to produce the aimed compound. In the process, a phosphorylase immobilized on an anion exchange polymer having anion exchange groups (preferably quaternary ammonium groups) introduced into a synthetic high polymer based polymer (preferably styrene or vinyl based polymer) is used. For example, an anion exchange polymer which is activated or subsequently equilibrated with a buffer solution is mixed with a phosphorylase obtained from an animal, plant, microorganism, etc., and stirred to prepare the immobilized phosphorylase.
