titleOfInvention Antianxiety composition
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an antianxiety composition that contains a specific 3- phenyl-3-aminoalkyl-4-methyl-2,6-dioxopiperidine as an active ingredient and is useful for treatment of anxieties accompanying abstinence of an addictive drug. CONSTITUTION: This antianxiety composition, which comprises a compound of the formula [R1 is H or an 1-4C alkyl; (m) is 1 or 2; R2 , R3 , R4 and R5 are each H, CH2 (when (n) is 2, R2 is H); R3 is H or a 1-2C alkyl; R4 is a 1-2C alkyl; (m) is 0-3; Y is OH, a 1-2C alkoxy, a 1-2C alkyl, a 1-2 hydroxyalkyl, a halogen or CF3 (in the condition that OH and alkoxy groups are not positioned at para-site)] or its pharmacologically permissible salt as the active ingredient that strongly antagonizes anxieties related to abstinence from many additive drugs, such as alcohol, nicotine and cocatine, and does not cause sedation at such a high dose level as 102mg/kg.
