abstract PURPOSE:To enable long-term stabilization of a peroxidase composition for enzyme immonoassay, by blending a peroxidase with an alkoxyphenol shown by a specific general formula to prepare the peroxidase composition. CONSTITUTION:A peroxidase is blended with an alkoxyphenol shown by formula I (R is 1-10C alkyl group; n is 1-5 integer) to prepare a stabilized peroxidase composition. A peroxidase extracted from horseradish, milk, leukocyte or erythrocyte may be cited as the peroxidase and peroxidase of horseradish is especially preferable. 4-Methoxyphenol may be cited as the concrete example of the alkoxyphenol shown by the formula I and the amount of the compound added is preferably about 0.01-0.5(W/V).
