titleOfInvention Production of polyester fiber
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a material for a napped fiber product having excellent deep colorability, soft touch and excellent handle free from whitening and blackening by subjecting a polyester yarn containing a fine particle of specific particle diameter and a matting agent to an alkali weight-loss treatment. CONSTITUTION: A polyester yarn containing 0.1-0.5 wt.% of a fine particle having <100 mμ average particle diameter and 0.1-2.0 wt.% of a matting agent is subjected to an alkali weight-loss treatment and at least 2 wt.% of the yarn is eluted to give a material having excellent deep colorability, slightly causing phenomena of whitening and blackening and having extremely soft touch and excellent handle in the case of forming a napped cloth. An inert inorganic fine particle such as dry silica, alumina sol, titanium oxide, calcium carbonate, etc., an internal precipitation-based fine particle obtained by reacting a phosphorus compound with a metal compound in a polyester reaction system and precipitating a reaction product, etc., may be preferably cited as the fine particle.
