abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by the formula [R1 and R2 represent -CH=CH2, -CH2CH3, etc.; R3 represents H, COOH, -COR (R represents OH or residue formed by eliminating H from an amino-acid), etc.; R4 represents OH or R; A represents CH2- or -CO-; dotted line bonded to the gamma-position represents no-binding or single bond; dotted line between the gamma-position and the 8-position represents single bond or double bond] and metal complex thereof (provided that the metal complex is in a porphyrin skeleton, and at least one of R3 and R4 represents group having R which represents tyrosine, fluorine- containing amino acid or iodine-containing amino acid residue). EXAMPLE:2,4-Bis[1-(2-hydroxyethyloxy)ethyl]-Ga-deuteroporphyrinyl dityrosine. USE:A cancer-directing medical preparation used for treatment, diagnosis, marker and misile-targeting therapeia of cancer. PREPARATION:A porphyrin compound corresponding to the formula wherein R is OH is formed and an amino acid residue is introduced thereto. Iodine, as necessary, is bonded.
