titleOfInvention 5-fluorouracil derivative
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R is H or methyl). EXAMPLE:1-Acryloyloxymethyl-5-fluorouracil. USE:An antiulcer agent having excellent polymerization activity as well as exhibiting excellent antiulcer activity in case of itself or polymerized product, or intermediate therefor. PREPARATION:A compound expressed by formula II obtained by reacting 5- fluorouracil with formalin according to ordinary method is reacted with (meth) acrylic acid and thiophenol in a proper solvent to afford a compound expressed by formula III, which is condensed in a proper solvent in the presence of a condensing agent and base to give a compound expressed by formula IV, which is then converted into sulfoxide in a proper solvent using an oxidant and heated to provide the compound expressed by formula I. The compound expressed by formula I is also obtained by reacting (meth)acrylic acid halide with 1,3- dihydroxymethyl-5-fluorouracil according to ordinary method.
