abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition enabling the maximum approach of minoxidil to trichocyte by mixing minoxidil with dimethyl sulfoxide. CONSTITUTION: This composition is obtained by mixing minoxidil:6-(1- piperidinyl)-2,4-pyrimidinediamine 3-oxide having effects of promoting 5-200mg trichocyte activity based on 100mL solution with dimethyl sulfoxide. Preferably, the composition is made to be useful for a shampoo. A shampoo composition preferably comprises 5-200mg of minoxidil, 5-20mL of a nonionic surfactant (preferably sorbitol oleic acid ester) and dimethyl sulfoxide in an amount to make 100mL solution in total.
