titleOfInvention | Aromatic polyimide semipermeable membrane and its production |
abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain aromatic polyimide semipermeable membrane having sufficient resistance to hot water enough for hot sterilization, having also high water permeability and high fractionating capacity by constituting the film of a biphenyl tetracarboxylic acid component and a bis(aminophenoxy) compd. component. CONSTITUTION:An aromatic tetracarboxylic acid component such as 3,3',4,4'-biphenyl tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride, etc., and an aromatic diamine component such as 1,4-bis(4-aminophenoxy)benzene, etc., are dissolved in a phenolic solvent such as 4-chlorophenol, etc. A swelling agent such as polyethylene glycol, etc., is added to the soln., and a soln. of aromatic polyimide is obtd. by carrying out condensation and imidization in the soln. Obtd. dope soln. after filtration of the aromatic polyimide soln. is flowed on a glass plate forming thus liquid thin film, then, the thin film is dipped in a coagulation bath of ethanol, etc. The film is further treated in hot water to obtain a semipermeable membrane having >=0.1m<3>/m<2>.day.kg/cm<2> permeation velocity for pure water. |
