abstract | PURPOSE:To shorten a plasma collecting time to a large extent, by providing a bypass line between the first and second blood storage parts and returning the blood in the second blood storage part to the first blood storage part when the returning of blood is started or after the returning of blood is finished. CONSTITUTION:After a predetermined blood collecting time is elapsed, the returning of blood is performed but, at this time, a blood collecting and returning pump 13 is reversed and the treated blood of the second blood storage part 22 is returned to the body while the untreated blood stored in the first blood storage part 14 is passed through a plasma separator 17 by a recirculation pump 16 through a line 15 to collect plasma. The blood wherein plasma is collected and a Ht value is high is mixed with the blood of the second blood storage part 22 to be returned to the body. When the returning of blood is started or after this operation is finished, a predetermined amount of blood of the second blood storage part is transferred to the first blood storage part through the bypass line 23 between the first and second blood storage parts to perform plasma collecting operation. |
