titleOfInvention Dentifrice composition
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a dentifrice composition, having excellent cleaning and foaming power in using the dentifrice with high safety, by blending an enzymically modified lecithin prepared by hydrolyzing lecithin with phospholipase A as a cleaning foaming agent with other ingredients. CONSTITUTION:A dentifrice composition, obtained by blending preferably 0.5-3% enzymically modified lecithin, prepared by hydrolyzing lecithin with phospholipase A, consisting essentially of lysolecithin and having rich hydrophilicity and great permeating and foaming power as a cleaning foaming agent therein and capable of promoting cleaning effects, dispersibility and permeability of drug effective agent, dispersibility of dentifrice itself, extending action of bubbles by foaming, etc., in using the dentifrice. Further, since the enzymically modified lecithin has high safety with hardly any irritation to the skin or mucosae, there is no problem in safety by the surfactant even if the afore-mentioned modified lecithin is drunk by mistake in cleaning teeth. Furthermore, problems of insufficient foaming power occurring in using an emulsifying agent for food can be solved.
