titleOfInvention Herbicidal composition
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a herbicidal composition having durability, withering various kinds of grown weeds, showing synergistic effects, by combining a pyrazole derivative with 2-chloro-2',6'-diethyl-N-(n-butoxymethyl)acetanilide. CONSTITUTION:A herbicidal composition comprising a novel compound [espe cially 1,3-dimethyl-4-(2,4-dichloro-3-methylbenzoyl)-5-(4-methylphenacyloxy)pyra zole] shown by formula I (Y is H, alkali metal, p-toluenesulfonyl, phenacyl or 4-methylphenacyl) and 2-chloro-2',6'-diethyl-N-(n-butoxymethyl)acetanilide shown by formula II as active ingredients. The compound shown by formula I is obtained by reacting 1,3-dimethyl-5-hydroxypyrazole with a reactive deriva tive of a corresponding substituted benzoic acid, then esterifying or etherifying the 5-position.
