EXAMPLE:2'-Hydroxy-4,4'-bismethoxymethoxychalcone. USE:An antiulcer agent having low side effect and applicable continuously over a long period. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced e.g. by condensing a compound of formula II (A1 is OH, methoxy, etc.; A2 is H, isoprenyl or isopentyl; A3 and A4 are H, OH, methoxy, etc.) with a compound of formula III (A5 is H, isoprenyl, etc.; A6 is H, OH, methoxy, etc.) in an organic solvent in the presence of a base. |
