titleOfInvention Dispersant in nonaqueous system
abstract PURPOSE:To enhance uniform dispersibility of fine particles into an aqueous medium by allowing a copolymer of alkylvinyl ether or the like and maleic anhydride to react with specified polyetherpolyol and preparing a dispersant. CONSTITUTION:A copolymer having 800-60,000 number average mol.wt. is obtained by copolymerizing alkylvinyl ether or alpha-olefine and maleic anhydride. A dispersant in a nonaqueous system is obtained by allowing polyetherpolyol having at least one hydroxyl group and having 400-30,000 average mol.wt. to react with this copolymer. This dispersant is shown in a formula I [X shows O and methylene group, R shows 6-40C alkyl group, R' shows polyetherpolyol having 400-30,000 average mol.wt., M shows alkali metal or the like, (m) and (n) are integer and m+n=5-100].
