titleOfInvention Rubber composition
abstract PURPOSE:To make it possible to form a rubber composition which is effective in preventing a ro-called 'blown' plenomenon, does not cause lowering in mechanical properties and is excellent in productivity, by adding a weakly basic hygroscopic inorganic powder having a specified structural formula as an adsorbent to a rubber. CONSTITUTION:This rubber composition contains an inorganic powder comprising a hygroscopic inorganic compound having a structure of the general formula: PMeO.nAl2O3.mSiO2.1H2O (wherein Me is a metal ion) and a pH of an aqueous solution of 1g/l of this powder in the range of 6.0-11.5 or comprising a mixed sinter thereof. The metal ion Me in the above general formula is preferably that of an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal. Said inorganic powder is preferably a crystalline hydrated aluminosilicate. The amount of this inorganic powder is preferably 0.1-20pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. rubber.
