PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic for hair restoration and hair growth continuously usable without strong irritation, having excellent effects, containing an active ingredient extracted from a crude drug of Benincasa hispida Cogn., Lophatherum gracile Brongh or Plantago asiatica L. with a water-insoluble organic solvent or a hydrous solvent thereof. CONSTITUTION:100g crude drug of Benincasa hispida Cogn., Lophatherum gracile Brongh or Plantago asiatica L. is extracted with 1l organic solvent such as primary alcohol (e.g. methanol or butanol), acetone, THF or dioxane alone or hydrous organic solvent containing >=50wt.% the organic solvent for 2hr each time 3 times, the extracted essence is put together, filtered by suction and concentrated under reduce pressure to give viscous essence of crude drug. 0.5-5.0wt.% of the essence as an active ingredient is directly added to a base or dissolved or dispersed in a proper solvent and diluted and added as the active ingredient to the base to give a promoter for hair restoration and growth. |
