titleOfInvention | Method of repelling lawn vermin |
abstract | PURPOSE: To enhance insecticidal activity of insect-parasitic nematodes by concomitantly applying the nematodes and an insecticide and control pest insects of lawn grass in extremely effective manner under the suppression of bad effect of the remaining insecticide on the environment to the minimum level by using a smaller amount of the insecticide. CONSTITUTION: Pest insects of lawn grass (especially, larvae of June bug) are controlled by applying insect-parasitic nematodes (e.g. Steinernema or Heterorhabditis) and an insecticide (e.g. a carbamate, an organophosphate, an organohalide, a pyrethroid, a nereistoxin or an insect growth controlling-type insecticide) in combination. It is preferable to mix insect-parasitic nematodes with an insecticide directly before the application. |
