titleOfInvention Flame-retardant fluorine polymer composition
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition suitable for insulating coating for insulated electric wires for electrical and electronic devices, having excellent flame retardance and flexibility, by blending a tetrafluoroethylene propylene copolymer with a bromine flame-retardant and a zinc compound. CONSTITUTION:100 pts. wt. tetrafluoroethylene propylene copolymer having the molar ratio of tetrafluoroethylene and propylene of 55:45 and 30-150 Mooney viscosity is blended with (A) 5-100pts.wt., preferably 15-60pts.wt. bromine flame-retardant (e.g. decabromodiphenyl oxide, (B) l-70pts.wt., preferably 3-50pts.wt. zinc compound (e.g. ZnO or ZnO-ZnMoO4) and (C) 1-70pts.wt., preferably 3-50pts.wt. phosphorus.
