titleOfInvention Emulsifier for water-based resin dispersion
abstract PURPOSE:To improve the polymerization stability of an emulsion and the mechanical stability of the formed emulsion by incorporating the alkylene oxide- addition compd. shown by a specified formula to prepare the title emulsifier for a water-based resin dispersion. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind among the compds. expressed by formula I is incorporated to prepare the emulsifier for a water-based resin dispersion [R1 is an 8-30C alkyl group, R2 is hydrogen and a methyl group, A is 2-4C alkylene group and substituted alkylene group, (n) is an integer of 1-100, and (m) is an integer of 1-3]. The compd. shown by formula I is obtained, for example, by allowing 12 or 14C alpha-olefin oxide to thermally react with polyoxyethylene monomethyl ether in the presence of a catalyst, and further allowing the obtained reaction product to react with glycidyl methacrylate.
