titleOfInvention Silver halide color photographic sensitive material and processing thereof
abstract PURPOSE:To attain superior color reproducibility and sharpness and to extend the exposure latitude of a sensitive material by specifying the max. particle size of a silver halide emulsion contained in at least one of the silver halide emulsion layers and incorporating a specified compd. into the sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The max. particle size of particles corresponding to 30% of the number of particles counted in the order of increasing particle size in a silver halide emulsion contained in at least one of the silver halide emulsion layers of a sensitive material is regulated to <=0.3mum diameter as a sphere and a compd. which cleaves after a reaction with the oxidized product of a developing agent and releases a development retarder by a reaction with another molecule of the oxidized product is incorporated into the sensitive material. The pref. halogen compsn. of the silver halide particles contains >=60mol.% silver bromide and <=10mol.% silver chloride. The color reproducibility and sharpness are improved and the exposure latitude can be extended.
