titleOfInvention | Production of thermosetting polymer |
abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain the titled rapidly curable polymer having excellent heat- resistance, chemical resistance, mechanical properties and moldability, by heating and reacting a polycyclic imino ether, a polyepoxide compound and a specific compound such as polyamine compound in the presence of an acidic catalyst. CONSTITUTION:The objective polymer can be produced by the thermal reaction of (A) a polycyclic imino ether of formula I [n is 2-4; R is n-valent hydrocarbon residue which may be interrupted or substituted with atoms other than C or groups containing atoms other than C; Z is direct bond or group of formula II (Ra-Rf are H, methyl, ethyl, propyl, phenyl, tolyl or benzyl); when n is 2, R may be direct bond] (e.g. 2,2'-bis(2-oxazoline)], (B) a polyepoxide compound and (C) a polyamine compound, an intramolecular anhydride and/or an aromatic polyhydroxy compound in the presence of (D) an acidic catalyst. |
