titleOfInvention Kit for measuring protein c activity
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a kit, capable of measuring protein C activity in blood plasma with a high accuracy without requiring separation of the protein C from the blood plasma, by using a low-molecular weight thrombin inhibitor without a substance having a high molecular weight, such as antithrombin III. n CONSTITUTION: A kit for measuring protein C activity is constituted of respective components of (a) a protein C activator, e.g. thrombin-thrombomodulin complex, (b) antithrombin III, (c) a low-molecular weight thrombin inhibitor and (d) a synthetic peptide substrate. A buffer solution for diluting blood plasma or a reaction terminator or both are preferably added as a constituent component. Heparin is preferably added to the antithrombin III. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
