titleOfInvention Float lid having extraction characteristic and production of beverage having uniform concentration
abstract PURPOSE: To prevent oxidation of beverage contained in a vessel, loss of a volatile substance, and contamination by furnishing a floating lid with a hole at its center so that a liquid food is passed through the lid from above to below. CONSTITUTION: The circular lid 10 has a body 18 and a wall 12 extending up to form a dimple 14 in conical form and has a dimpled external wall 20 in a conical shape, and a circular lip 22 is formed from the external wall and the upward extending wall so as to permit a person to handle it easily. Because the floating lid 10 has buoyancy, it can face to any side where the surface of liquid food is directed, so that it does not constitute any obstacle, and the liquid food can be poured out from the vessel. The water surface under the lid rises when the liquid flows through the center hole, and the lid also rises in association. Further, the lid is dimpled and the buoyancy and gravitational force exert effectively a force enough to retain the lid always at the oversurface of the beverage. This establishes good resistance against oxidation of beverage, loss of volatile substance, and contamination.
