titleOfInvention Novel genipin glycoside
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by the formula (n is 0 or 1-8). EXAMPLE:Genipinmaltoheptaoxide. USE:Useful as a substrate for measuring because of becoming good substrate of alpha-amylase in human body fluid. PREPARATION:(A) Gepoxide which is a glucose glycoside of genipin is reacted with (B) polysaccharide such as cyclodextrin, soluble starch or maltooligosaccharide and (C) the genus Bacillus-derived cyclodextrin glucanotransferase. Further more, the reaction is preferably carried out pH6 and 37 deg.C.
