titleOfInvention Antithrombogenic elastomer
abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the adhesion of a platelet, by containing specific polyethylene glycol and polyester or a polyether type diol compound in a main chain as soft segments. CONSTITUTION:The average MW of a polyethylene glycohol part contained as a soft segment is pref. 500-3000 and the content thereof is pref. 1-30wt.% from the aspect of the development of an antithrombogenic property and a dynamical property. As a soft segment other than the polyethylene glycol part, polyester or polyether having an average MW of 500-6000 is pref. An elastomer is constituted of substantially thermoplastic polyurethane or polyurethaneurea composed of a linear polymer containing a crosslinking structure and used in a state of a synthetic solution or precipitated in water and sufficiently washed with water or ethanol to remove impurities and dried to be used as a pellet. As a result, this elastomer is excellent in the antithrombogenic property of a platelet system.
