titleOfInvention | Promoter for rooting of plant |
abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain a promoter for rooting of plants capable of enormously increasing number of rootings and rooting ratio and of reducing phytotoxicity by plant hormone, containing lectin specific to L-fucose and optionally a plant hormone as active ingredients. CONSTITUTION:A promoter for rooting of plants containing protein or glycoprotein which mutually acts with a saccharide, aggregates cells, settles saccharide complex and has cell aggregating activity inhibited by L-fucose, or lectin specific to L-fucose or the lectin and auxin, a plant hormone such as naphthylacetic acid, indoleacetic acid, indolebutyric acid as active ingredients. When the agent is used, generally the agent is dissolved in a solvent such as water and used as a solution. For example, in the case of a cutting, a cut ear is immersed in the solution or sprayed with the solution. The concentration of the lectin specific to L-fucose used is preferably 0.001-1,000ppm and that of the plant hormone is preferably 1-500ppm. |
