titleOfInvention Manufacture of superconductor coil unit
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a superconductor coil easily by a method wherein a ring- shaped spacer, having a slit and a projection and showing no superconducting phenomenon, is placed in the space generated between a cylindrical female die and a cylindrical male die, one-turn coil is formed thereon by compressing superconductor raw material powder mixture, and the above-mentioned operation is repeated. CONSTITUTION:BaCO3, Y2O3 and Cu2O of (Y+Ba):Cu=1:1 in mol ratio is used as the raw material powder of a ceramic superconductor and after prefiring work has been conducted at 950 deg.C for 6 hours in an oxigen atmosphere, it is crushed and classified. Then, when a coil is made using said powder, a ring- shaped spacer 1, showing no superconductivity, is placed on the bottom face of a cylindrical female die 5. At this time, a slit 2 is provided on the spacer 1, and a projection 3 is provided on one end part of the spacer. Then, the mixed powder formed previously is placed in the female die 5, the powder is compressed by the male die 6 having the outside diameter equal to the inside diameter of the spacer 1, and a one-turn coil 9 is formed. The above-mentioned operation is repeated, and an interconnection is conducted utilizing the part generated by the slit 2 and the projection 3.
