titleOfInvention Production of 1,2,4-triazolin-5-one derivative
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound useful as an intermediate for drugs and agricultural chemicals, especially an intermediate for herbicide by one stage and a simple operation, by oxidizing a specific triazoline derivative with an oxidizing agent. n CONSTITUTION: A triazoline derivative such as 1-(o-chlorophenyl)-3-methyl-1,2,4- triazolidin-5-one, etc., shown by formula II (R is 1W5C alkyl; X is H, halogen, R, 1W3C alkoxy, nitro or OH; n is 1W3) is reacted with an equimolar amount W extremely large amount based on 1mol compound shown by the formula I of an oxidizing agent such as O 2 gas, etc., in a solvent such as methyl butyl ketone, etc., at room temperature W the boiling point of the solvent for 1W24hr to give the aimed compound such as 1-(o-chlorophenyl)-3-methyl-Δ 2 -1,2,4- triazolin-5-one shown by the formula II, etc. Air O 2 , an organic peroxide such as H 2 O 2 , reductive benzoyl, m-chloro-perbenzoic acid, etc., are used as the oxidizing agent. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
